I am currently the ECD and creative head of Wieden+Kennedy's New York office. Working alongside Managing Director Neal Arthur, I am responsible for WKNY's 12+ brands and its 200+ employees. 18 years ago I made the mistake of pursuing a career in advertising after graduating from the University of Delaware with a BFA degree. Since then I have somehow managed to stay employed working as an art director, a copywriter, a CD and now an ECD. In 2006 I co-created “The Most Interesting Man in the World” campaign for Dos Equis with Brandon Henderson under Jeff Kling that ran for a decade and helped triple the brand’s business. In 2010 I penned and later creative directed the P&G “Thank You, Mom” Olympics campaign that won an Emmy in 2012 and was named one of the most successful P&G Olympics marketing efforts of all time. And in 2015 – in hopes of connecting a struggling brand back to its roots – I helped bring back “The Colonel” for Kentucky Fried Chicken in a surprising and unusual way that actually helped spark a strong turnaround for the brand. Over the years, I have also worked on clients that include Bud Light, Nike, Delta, Jordan Brand, Old Spice, Duracell, Sprite, Spotify, The Atlantic, Kraft, ESPN, Target, Volvo and Facebook while somehow finding myself working alongside cultural icons like Mark Zuckerberg, LeBron James, Howard Stern and the guy who does the voice-overs for those herpes ads. I was also once in Lance Armstrong’s kitchen. He had really nice countertops. I've been fortunate enough to have my work added to the permanent collection of MoMA through the AICP, I've been awarded Titanium, Gold, Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions and I have also received a handful of Effies for effectiveness. The work I have helped create has been covered and referenced in media outlets that include The New York Times, The Onion, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Fast Company, Esquire, The Daily Show, The Tonight Show, The Today Show, Fox Sports, ESPN, Saturday Night Live and others.
Named twice to AdAge's "Top Fifteen Ad Campaigns of the 21st Century," Primetime Creative Arts Emmy for Outstanding Commercial, Gold Cannes Film Lion, AICP "Best In Show," Bronze Cannes Film Lion, Gold Cannes Film Craft Lion, Silver Cannes Film Craft Lion(s), Bronze Cannes Film Lion(s), Grand Prix Cannes Integrated Lion, One Show Interactive Integrated Campaign Gold, One Show Integrated Campaign Gold, One Show Interactive Bronze, One Show Gold, One Show Bronze, One Show Merit(s), Art Directors Club Interactive Gold, Art Directors Club Integrated Campaign Merit, AICP Next Integrated Campaign, Clios Gold, Clios Content and Contact Gold, D&AD Integrated Campaign Yellow Pencil, Silver Cannes Cyber Lion, Bronze Cannes Cyber Lion(s), Silver Cannes Titanium Lion, Bronze Cannes Titanium Lion, Gold Effie(s), Adweek Best Spot(s), London International Awards Bronze, Creativity Pick(s) of the Day, AICP Best Agency Art Direction (I was a CW/AD at the time), Time Magazine Top 10 commercials 2007 and I have won my CBS SportsLine fantasy football league in 2006, 2012 and 2015.
